More of Elkhurst Bridge. Leave this post up for a while.

Not going to add any more posts for a while so everyone can see and comment on the bridge and people can see what we are talking about. The delegates and state road people in charleston can read the comments the people from clay are saying about the Elkhurst Bridge.

Thank you, George. I certainly hope this bridge can be saved. I know there are people who would come to Clay County to see it. I drove to Phillipi for the sole reason to see and drive across the covered bridge there. Of course, stopped and had lunch, spent a few bucks here and there.

I took my pop down today to the swinging bridge, and we took a walk out to the middle of it. Just being out there on that old but still in good shape, part of Clay Co. history, was a heart warming feeling. DJE

Darn if it don't look like this blog died. Where is every one? Connie is wanting anyone and every one to get together and as soon as posible. This bridge thing is a go, but she needs the people of Clay co. behind her. Call her up, tell her your thought's and opinions. She is working hard at this, but we have too want it also! DJE

Besides that if you read the blogs often enough you would know that Southern Boy's conversations are often "tongue in cheek" (so to speak). He was trying to pay a compliment to someone who took the time to compile the information so everyone else could benefit from it. Because not everyone reads AW and because it was nice to be able to match the crime with the slime.
